Eas Fors is a new design-led knitwear brand from the remote Scottish Isle of Mull. Reflecting the spirit of Hebridean islands, pieces are thoughtfully made on a small scale using all-natural wool fibres. The businesses was co-founded by brother and sister Joe and Flora.
Flora studied and completed a BA in Fashion design at Edinburgh College of Art. She then spent time between India and her home on the Isle of Mull over the next 3 years. In this time she completed two yoga teacher trainings and delved into yoga philosophy in Mysore, India. Spending her time then in nature at home, she put into practice all that she had learnt. This combination of the Arts and spirituality gave Flora a depth to her creative projects, driven to find reason for making clothing. Desiring to create something long lasting, natural and close to the earth, she teamed up with brother Joe to create Eas Fors.
Joe lives on the Isle of Mull in the village of Salen with his wife and two young children. Originally from the island, Joe moved to Glasgow to complete his degree in business studies and marketing, then 10 years later moving back to raise a family and start his businesses in marketing and website design. In 2021 Joe also co-founded The Mull and Iona Shop, a shared marketplace for island makers and artists to showcase and sell their products. With the desire to create a brand that values quality and sustainability and has a positive impact on the world, Joe teamed up with his sister Flora to create Eas Fors.
